UPDATE: **SOLD** Was on eBay.

The term ‘rare’ accompanies a variety of FC-150/170s.

“This extremely rare 1963 Jeep Willys FC-170 4X4 is both a stake bed pick up and a hydraulic dump bed. The trucks prior owner was into these vehicles in a big way and kept his eyes open for the right FC to purchase for over 15 years. He acquired this truck from the original owner and had it for another 15 years until illness forced the sale. The prior owner advertised this as “Very Complete & Original all the way down to the Windshield Washer Bag that hangs on the dashboard.”

I was a former owner of this truck, from 1989 until around 1992 or 1993. The text from the Ebay ad about previous owners and an illness-forced sale is creative fiction. It was originally a fire truck, and although the pump and other equipment had been stripped when I bought it, it still had the shell of the pumper body, a rotating red emergency light and chrome siren on the roof of the cab, and a spotlight at the top of each A pillar. You could still read “Brookfield Township Road Dept #5” on the doors. I actually drove it from NJ to NC. I kept the spotlights, but stripped the rest. I had the dump bed and saddlebag tool boxes added by Triangle Body Works in Winston-Salem NC. I built the side rails. I sold it to a guy in WV, who I think sold it to the CA owner. I believe it then went to GA, and the last I heard it was in northern Ontario.
