1950 CJ-3A Cypress, Ca eBay

This jeep appears fully equipped for trail running.  Interesting reversal of spring pads — the back shocks sit inside the springs rather than the outside. I assume this has to do with the expanding shackles on the back.  The seller lists this a CJ-2A, but the last CJ-2A produced was in 1949.

"This is a 1950 Willy's Jeep Rock Crawler with the following offroad modifications: Front Rock Crawler Bumper with Tow Bar and Clevis Rings, storage boxRockcrawler rear bumper with spare tire swing out carrier and gas can carrier Buick 231 motor, oversize "burma"radiator, hoses, new valve cover gaskets, headers, straightpipes, new/rebuilt 4 barrel carburator, high volume adjustable oil pump, new distributor, cap rotor, plugs, competition cam, new alternator, water pump, and thermostat. New twin electric fans controlled from cab(one kicks on at 195 degrees). My guess on the shock placement is probably due to the postal frame. He probably just utilized the stock upper mounts and made the bottom mounts work. Should have nothing to do with the revolver shackles. He also now lists on the ad that it is a 3A with a 2A windshield frame.
