1948 CJ-2A Oak Grove, KY **SOLD**

1948_cj3a_oakgroveUPDATE: **SOLD** Was $4300

“Up for sale is my 1948 Willys CJ2A, you might have seen it around town. This Jeep was rebuilt from the ground up in 2000 by the pryer owner. It will need an enigne do to a rod cap bolt that snaped all cased by the pryer owner who did not replace the rod cap bolts during the rebuild. (Always replace any engine bolt that requires a torque spec!) It is in stock form with a (chain driven) 134 L-head with only 3,000 miles on it…..”

It’s been several months, but I’ve actually seen this jeep. Owner is right, the bottom end of the engine let go. Replacement body seemed to be in really good shape as I recall. I wish I knew where to find a camel or tan colored top like this one. All I can seem to find is the black tiger tops. Anyone have any ideas?

That appears to be a Kayline top. Went out of business a few years back. Really nice tops for the $$ but Bestop had the CJ market cornered and Kayline just couldn’t hold on. I think Kayline was bought out, but the new company didn’t get very far with top production.

Beechwood Canvas might have something for you….
