UPDATE:  **SOLD** Was $4300

(12/22/09) I can’t tell if the paint is peeling on the passenger side of the hood or if it has an alteration of some kind.

“This 1946 Willys Jeep 4×4 has: Chevy 350 engine, TH350 automatic transmission (new rebuild), Spicer 18 /20 transfer case, Desert Dynamic hydraulic winch, Dana 44 rear and 30 in the front, Edelbrock carburetor, 33 x 12.5″ tires with a full size spare, Brand new Painless wiring harness front to back including fuse block.  It comes with a fully enclosed soft top with doors for the winter and a bikini top for the summer. Runs great! We are asking $4,500 but will take any reasonable offer.”

I think that the hood is a just part of the paint scheme. It sort of rolls up to the top of the hood from what i can tell. looks like they painted willys in white. it matches the red paint details on the rocker panel.
