“1968 Jeepster Commando.  I have owned this fantastic Jeep for several years. I personally (and the previous owner) have completely renovated and improved this classic from bumper to bumper. I have over $19,000 in receipts for just the improvements not including the $4,000 paint job.

Newer 4.3 liter GMC Vortec V-6 from a 1995 Jimmy. Installed when it had 24,000 miles. It now has less than 36,000 and runs as you would expect (like new!) It is the ideal size for a retro-fit and has more-than-plenty of power and torque. Good gas mileage too. I have been using synthetic blend oil. It does not use any oil nor leak a drop, and of course, does not ever smoke. Lots and lots of new stuff under the hood including new radiator and steel fan.
