1949 CJ-2A Austin, TX **SOLD**

UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $4000

(11/18/09) The Vin number would make this produced in 1948. This looks like a nice rebuilt.

I am selling my CJ2A. This has been recently restored. Body was removed and repainted. Color is maroon. Black undercoat on the body to help prevent rust. Restoration did not include mechanical. Vehicle had a partial 12V conversion when I got it. It now has all new wiring. All lights work. Added turn signals and brake lights. Horn works. Starter is 12V. It uses a borg warner 6V coil; but could easily be changed to 12V coil. Jeep would be street legal if you add the windshield; the seals for the windshield are included in sale. It didn’t need the motor or drivetrain rebuilt. Although I did paint the engine and rebuild the carburator. New gauges except for speedo.”

    Hi Daniel,

I have just emailed the seller to see if I can get a response for you.

Unfortunately, I have no other contact information besides the information on that craigslist ad. If I did, I’d gladly provide it to you 🙂

Also unfortunately, some people who sell on craigslist don’t check their email often (or don’t manage email well). It can be very frustrating getting responses from sellers sometimes. It’s a story I hear surprisingly often.

I’ll let you know if I get a response.

I’ve always thought craigslist should require or at least force the originator to say yes or no to listing a tele# with their ad. I think a lot of the times they just plainly don’t think to include it. What was Craig thinking?
