Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. I can’t remember where I ran across this photo, but I found it on my desktop waiting it’s turn to be shared with readers. I thought it was a great example of a stretched mb/gpw. I haven’t ordered the book yet, but you can find the book at Amazon here for $34.16.
Dave – I have that book. I found it pretty disappointing. Has some good restoration photos and advice at the start, but didn’t cover as much as I was expecting. The second half is about an expedition they want on.

Thanks for the review. Based on the front and the tag line, I can understand why you might be disappointed. I wouldn’t buy that thinking half the book is about an adventure of theirs.
