(10/24/2010) It’s got some rust, but drives.

“1948 Willys, 32,721 +/- on the odometer. Guy who had it before me parked it in his garage thinking he would do some body work. Sat for 12 years. I got it thinking I needed another project vehicle. Wife decided I didn’t. Dumped some gas in it earlier this summer and it fired right up. Drove OK but brakes need work. Tires are good including a spare on a matching wheel. Looks to me like everything is there with the exception of a seat-bracket and seat. The lights/trim wipers, steps, etc are in a box. Body has some rust (see pictures) but the frame and drive-train look solid and straight. I have a clear title for this jeep. With a little elbow grease this winter I think this has potential as a fun summer ride. Asking $1,100.00 but would entertain any serious offer.”

Jeep is sold. I bought it. Put a fuel pump on it and it fired right up. Has heater, serial # in the 209’s. Will have to go through brakes, but… got the seat frames, now to paint it. Was originally blue. Pretty solid unit.
