UPDATE: On further review, I have a number of issues with this jeep, given the price.  See comments.

It’s an auction of sorts.

You are right. I didn’t take this jeep too seriously because of the price, but I’ve had a funny feeling about it — the it-is-a-scam feeling.

It is missing a gauge, it has the wrong steering wheel, it has the wrong dash plate, the front shackle is mounted wrong, it is missing seats …. something’s not right.

WOW..you guys were pretty tough on this one. If this is in fact a fall (Nov/Dec) 1941 Slat Grill (And the serial number on the dash plate or the front frame will tell) if restored this jeep is worth every penny of $20K. In its present condition I’d value it at $4-6K.
I’ve started with worse than this and brought them back to original granduer. Also, Steering wheel looks correct to me..slatties and most early MB’s had full black sheller steering wheels..the shortages of materials (which caused the steerring wheel to change and have bare steel spokes) didn’t happen until well into 1942.

It’s the fact this guy wants 20 grand for what’s there that gets me. I agree that in pristine condition, and restored to original specs it would be worth it. This vehicle is FAR from that.
