(11/30/2010) Bob spotted this really nice original restoration. I’d like to see some better pics. I also really like the color scheme. I do have a couple minor, really minor detail questions pertaining to originality. Wouldn’t the bezels have been painting the body paint color (though I think they look better in black)? Also, wouldn’t the rear bumper have had the dropped PTO connector angle (though I like the looks of the bumper that was installed on this)?

Every piece on this classic Jeep has been disassembled, media blasted and rebuild, reconditioned, or replaced to achieve its as new condition. This Willys has been finished in the correct Harvest Tan color with the corresponding orange wheels. ”

I’m the second owner of my ’46 2A & I inherited it from my uncle, the first owner.
It had chromed head light and parking light rings on it from the factory although I do know that a lot of people paint them down the road when the chrome gets too bad to prevent rust.

Very nice looking rebuild.
Harvest Tan w/Sunset Red wheels is correct factory color combo. The wheels are not correct though, and yes, the headlight bezels should be body color, and tail light bezels should be black.
A few other color details aren’t right, but minor. However, it is NOT the original engine, or correct carburetor/manifold. Which leaves overall originality in doubt.
Overpriced for what it is.

Great observations by all. This jeep looks real sharp and would make a great addition to any collection, This jeep actually looks a lot like the VEC 2A in the lobby of Chryslers World Headquarters in Michigan.
The most noticable and probably the easiest to correct probelms are the carb. and the wheels. (Also the unoriginal water overflow bottle should be removed).
Biggest problem with this jeep is the price. I think its about $7-10K overpriced….its worth every penny of about $20K….maybe the seller will go that low.
