Is Virginia City the east town or west town? Nevada City is the other one, right? We went through both on our way back from riding in St. Anthony, Idaho a couple months ago. The westernmost town had an old house on the outskirts of town that had at least a dozen old flatfenders in the yard in various states. MB’s, CJ2A’s, 3A’s, 3B’s, M38A1’s, etc. Also a couple old powerwagons, 2 1/2 ton’s… and more. Very cool towns to visit as well..

Heading west into the valley on hwy 287 in Montana, Virginia City is the first city, following shortly by the tiny town of Nevada City and then Alder Gulch. So, Nevada City is West of Virginia City.

So, I believe you are referring to Nevada City. Hmm .. I was on the watch for jeeps, but must have missed that house.

Yeah..Must have been Nevada City. We were at the station where they store the steam train and across the road and 100 ft west is the house. Very cool looking old house…reminded me of a mansion. It was plumb full of “stuff”. And the yard was as well. I initially wandered over to take a picture of the house because it was so cool. Then parked out front was a line of 3 or 4 jeeps… Interest peaked, my cousin and I wandered around the yard and discovered about a dozen or so…. Almost all flatties. Also an M151 Mutt.
