Brett spotted this one.  I like it.   Fortunately, he wants to sell it to serious restorers.

“This is what’s known as a VEC (very early civilian) CJ2A vin 21766 and has many unique characteristics. It is column shift, has the tool indents in the side panel, and five solid rims. This is an extremely nice, very original example that was sitting in a storage container in the Nevada desert for years. Very straight, nearly rust-free body, original keyed coil, door sockets (and door frames), gauges, wheels, etc. Mileage shows 81,079. It would be considered a project vehicle as I never tried to get it running, but appears a relatively simple restoration. It rolls very easily, steering is tight, and I’d bet with a battery, gas, and TLC it would fire up. It’s missing a couple things and needs some repair, but is remarkable for a 65 year old vehicle. The previous owner began a “restoration” and painted the windshield frame and hood but they should be re-done correctly. Selling to put time and money into an earlier 2A recently acquired. Many more photos available. Serious, restoration inquiries only please. Title in hand. Thanks!”

I thought they came with the full floating diffy? Yes…No. I don’t know. Nice Jeep though. How many hours from Northern Alberta? Hmmmm

I saw this cj in Sandy Valley, NV a couple of years ago (in the cargo/container). The “Owner” was asking $3800. He says he got it from a movie director in Hollywood. He deals in movie props and has been on Pawn Stars several times in the past two years as an “expert” in Western Memorabilia.
Just some interesting facts about how these vehicles get around.

That’s a great piece of trivia. I’ve seen an episode where one of their Western ‘experts’ evaluated a some western saddles.

That’s him. He also does a mean bullwhip on Chumlee and a cigarette. Not a bad guy…pretty interesting actually.
