(11/08/2010) The seller’s comments suggests this is an original body that has had work done. If so, I’m guess some kind of mb/gpw (no gas outlet and no tailgate)?

I checked with the seller and he said it’s not an MB tub. The rear floor is ribbed and looks like a CJ2a. However it does have a glovebox and no tailgate, so I don’t know what to make of it.
It sure sounds like it’s been pieced together in some way or another. I’d guess a DJ body, but that dashboard doesn’t look like a DJ dashboard.

If really a professionally done body,it would make a nice modified jeep project tub for someone.. it is cheap enough. (All bets are off if it is a bodo buggy tho. )
I would bet it is an early repro body like JC whitney sold in the 70’s. Especially if it has a removeable floor plate like the m- 38.
