“WILLYS FC150, 1959

The four-wheel drive FC-150 Forward Control Jeep has the cab situated well forward of the engine to provide more than six feet of cargo bed length despite the 81-inch wheelbase. Overall length was 147.5 inches, two inches shorter than the Nash Metropolitan and 38 inches shorter than a Chevrolet half-ton pickup. Classified as a 3/4-ton unit, though the chassis was basically that of a CJ-5 Jeep, the FC-150 was originally powered by the four-cylinder F-head Hurricane engine producing 75 horsepower and 114 pounds-feet of torque. It now has the 1985 Ford T-Bird fuel injected four-cylinder engine installed.

This is a great looking 1959 FC 150 ! Is it still for sale ? Would love to complete the restoration. From
the pictures it looks like about the only thing left to do is the interior, and mounting the radiator. Has it been sold yet ??
    Thank You !

This appears to have been sold as the seller deleted the craigslist ad.

Interesting way of mounting the steering box…. and the front lift…..hmmmm…Not sure I’d drive it as set up… Does look cool though.

I see that this FC 150 is back on the market ! I’m having trouble connecting with the owner thru
carigslist. Any recommendations on how to get hold of him ??I have the money , and the time to
trailer this truck home this memorial day weekend. Thanks for any help , you can give !

    Hi Dave,

This FC150 is no longer on the market. I am now the proud owner. Drove up to San Jose over the
Memorial Day weekend, and trailered it back to Glendora. Paul (past owner) has done a beautiful
job restoring the “Beast” (my wife’s name for the truck), but there is still a lot of work to do. Wish
I had Paul’s engineering and computer skills, but will slowly get the job done. It now resides in my
garage; where the work has already begun. IT’S GOING TO TAKE AWHILE !
    Thanks !
    William
