Steve forwarded this photo of a Mighty Mite at the Chicago Auto Show yesterday.
Coincidently, yesterday Ann’s mother saved part of an episode of Pawn Stars for me to view (Episode called PONY UP from December 2011), which included a man trying to sell a Mighty Mite to the Pawn Stars guys for $22,000. They offered $13,000 (based on their expert’s opinion). Unfortunately, I can’t find a free way to view that episode.

I wouldn’t call them crooked. They bargain hard, which is how they make their money. If they didn’t bargain hard, they would be out of business. 🙂
I think they make their money getting us to watch that garbage on TV.
Agreed. According to one lawsuit, the pawn stars make $25,000 per episode each. Some estimates put it in six figures, which could be the case if they have revenue sharing of some kind. With 58 episodes in the can, and roughly 50 more to come based on their 2011 contract, they will do well.

The mighty mite pictured here is not the one from Pawn Stars. The one that was on the show was owned by a man name Steve Henry out of peoria Arizona. He ended up selling it to a Museum in New York. I know this because I worked for the man at his shop ” S.L.Henry service in Glendale Arizona. And it was totally restored it was flawless. Their expert from Counts Kustoms needed to pull his head out of his ass and look closer.
Thanks for the note Steve. I never meant to imply that the one pictured above was the same as the one that appeared on Pawn Stars (I never got to see that episode). I only combined the photo and the show because they were both about Mighty Mites.
