This is a neat combo.
“UP FOR AUCTION, A SWEEEEEEET USED MATCHBOX … no.36 JEEP WITH GLIDING CLUB TRAILER, & GLIDER PLANE, MADE IN ENGLAND, BY LESNEY 1976… THIS IS A VERY COOL JEEP AND TRAILER, IT COMES WITH A GLIDER PLANE YOU PUT TOGETHER, AND IT ALL FITS IN THE WAY COOL TRAILER.. ONLY ONE THING WRONG WITH THIS UNIT, THE PLASTIC GLASS TOP DOES NOT FIT THE TRAILER THAT GOOD, IT’S A LITTLE LOSE ON THE FIT….THERE IS NORMAL PAINT CHIPPING ON THIS TOY, HAS NORMAL WEAR, ALL TIRES ARE IN GOOD SHAPE…… THIS IS A USED TOY AND BUYING AS IS.”
I have the Jeep portion of this combo… Didn’t even know it had a glider and trailer. Not sure where I got it from. And no…Not for sale. =)
ì have 3 sets of these yes for sale
I didn’t catch this before. This isn’t a Matchbox. It’s a dime store make from the 80’s or 90’s …or even later.
No, it’s a real Matchbox. Model TP-7 in their 900 range, introduced in 1976.
Do a Google search and you’ll see it.
Too bad the glider is out of scale.
By the ’70s, Matchbox wasn’t what it once was.
Their yellow 1960s CJ-5 #72 was the highlight of their Jeeps,
I have 2-3, a great little model.
JohnB, I haven’t seen (or paid attention to) this one. I was starting to do real cars in 1976. I do have the my original Matchbox Jeep that got in the mid 60’s.
