Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “1944 Willys MB jeep restored to military specification. Titled in WA state. 160 miles since restoration. Body off restoration. Original chassis sand blasted and painted. Rebuilt suspension, differentials, hubs, brakes, transmission. Rebuilt engine with new pistons, polished crank, new bearings. Original body with replacement toolbox and fuel tank wells. Original fuel tank repaired and lined. 6-volt electrical system with correct generator. New seat cusions and covers. New correct wiring harness. 4 original combat rims with new NDT tires. Toolkit and jack included. Some spare parts, manuals, parts, and books. More than $20,000 invested. Needs top bows, mounting brackets and canvas top.”
