UPDATE: **SOLD** Was on eBay

It runs and drives. Engine isn’t stock.

“For sale is a 1942 Ford GPW World War II Jeep. No 88865. Clear MT title! It starts and runs excellent. It stops great. Steering is tight and goes straight down the road. Odometer says 29599 mi. It has a newer F head willys jeep engine that has a lot of power. That is why it has the hood scoop looking thing on the hood to clear the carb on the newer engine. It was rebuilt in 1970 and has only gone about 10,000 miles since. It has a rebuilt carb and fuel pump. New plugs and a fresh oil, filter, and antifreeze change. It does not have the original gas tank, it has one that someone mounted between the rear wheel wells. It runs and starts amazing! The transmission and transfer case shift excellent and the four wheel drive works great. The front end, rear end, trans, and transfer case have all been serviced with new oil. It does need new tires as they are cracked and in bad shape.

It has some typical rust in the floor as seen in the pix and also the sides by the foot well and storage compartment, but overall it is a pretty solid body. It has been repainted many times over the years, but you can still see the army green in spots and even the star on the hood. It also has some letters on the rear quarter panel that look like they spell “Jonny” or “Sonny” and also what looks like an army insignia like you would see on the side of a bomber or fighter plane, but I cannot tell what it is. It looks like a sun with a red fist holding an arrow. It was painted on the original army green color and with some work could probably be revealed. I do not know if it has it on the drivers side also as the paint is not flaking off as much as on the other side. You can also see part of the army numbers on the side of the hood. The seats are out of a 1969 Mustang. Don’t let the ugly paint fool you, this is a very nice old jeep.”
