“42 willys WW II Jeep [No motor or transmission] body is a little rough but doesn’t seem to have much rust. It had the original flathead when I got it about 15 years ago. It has been sitting for years and a lot of the parts walked away.t”

This is ,going by the body details, a Ford GPW. The engine compartment view shows the rounded three hole toe board gussets and the main id point is the rectangular depression around the rear tool box lock holes. The rectangular depression were only used on the Ford bodies. While the rounded toe board gussets were also used on the late war composite bodies, the rectangular depressions were not. The composite body ones were round.

Great candidate for a “rust-oration”. I’d want to keep that survivor patina. Very cool jeep, but if my 42 GPW project is any indication, it’ll take 10 times the purchase price to bring it back with the right parts… And still I’d buy it if it was closer to me.

Wife: “Uh, honey, what is that big box underneath the Christmas tree?”

    Me: “It’s a surprise honey. A surprise.”

That’s awesome. Good thing it’s a time zone away.
