    on the engine pic (image 6) on craigslist ad, can some one identify the round item with the T screw on it, is that an oil or fuel filter. I don’t remember that on mine ( in long term storage), did all M-38A1s have it.

    The item you’re asking about is an oil filter. It’s different from the drop in filter type often used in these vehicles. It’s been awhile but my brain believes the T handle on the top is a wiper for the filtering screens inside the housing but I might be confused about that. My M38 had the drop in filter type.
