UPDATE: **Status Unknown** Was $300.

If you are looking for a solid cage, this price is cheaper than making one.

“This was taken out of a 1947 Jeep Willy that was a rock crawler project. That project never happened, so I’m selling the custom roll cage that was made for it. I believe it will fit many other Jeeps and years and can be easily modified for a Samurai or something similar. It is made from 2″ tubular metal pipe and is structurally in great shape. Could use a good cleaning and paint though. Here are some measurements that may help you determine if it is what you want.

Front to Back of cage measured from the base – 71″
Side to Side measured from front part of base – 50″
Side to Side measured from rear part of base – 54″
Height measured from middle of roll cage – 47″
Windshield opening Width – 21.5″
Windshield opening Height – 44.5″
Cab opening Width – 3′
Cab opening Height – 39″
Side plates on the back base Width – 10″
Side plates on the back base Length – 33”

    Hi Chad,

I haven’t seen this relisted. If it get’s relisted on Craigslist, I’ll drop you a note.

That said, this does look like it was built for a flat fender. See how the outer sides of the front plates angle? Also, the outer lower bars that hold the seat angle inward.

I tried going to the Phoenix Craigslist, and its still there. Unfortunately, it takes you back to the ewillys ad. You would think that ewillys would do some follow-up on the ads they have on their site.

    Hi Ray,

Thanks for your comment. I’m happy to help you if I can.

Ewillys isn’t a standard classified site. It is my own personal research project for old jeeps that, as a side benefit, also helps out people looking for jeeps for sale or entertains those that like to read about vintage jeeps. The time I have for the site is limited, so I have chosen to focus on listing items for sale rather than using it to modify all old posts. That said, I have written the code necessary to auto-mark all posts older than six months as old, but haven’t uploaded that code. A perfect system, not by any stretch of the imagination. But, it’s free, it helps people find jeeps every day, and it entertains and teaches people about jeeps from all over the world.

    Thanks,

    – Dave
