A cool old flat-nosed wagon, although it’s not my style. Are those Caddy taillights? This one does have the rare 1949-only “Willys-Overland” script on the tailgate.

Mike F – I thought the 383 was a bored version of the Chevy 350 – tuned for torque more than hp. I’m no expert though.

An Oakie in the Ghetto? That WAS a nice specimen of an early Wagon. It even has the script tailgate. That eagle beak on the hood and the visor’s gotta go. (lol) This is starting to take on the look of a ’53 Chevy Crummy. I agree, Bob. At least it’s not chopped.

Instead of going to a big block, the Chevy guys are commonly putting a “stroker” motor in their Hot Rods, and Camaro’s, turning a 350 Chevy into a 383 with a longer piston stroke. It doesn’t say if it’s a Dodge engine, but I’m sure it’s a Chevy with a 350 automatic.
