“This 1955 Willys is a rare find. This CJ3B is in excellent condition. It has been restored from the ground up. It has been used in parades, serviced annually and has been kept in climate controlled garage. This Willys has the high top hood with the Hurricane flat top motor. This Willys has documentation and clear title. Runs great and fun to drive!”

All that work and they couldn’t put in the right motor? How many times have we seen CJ2A and CJ3A’s with mutilated hoods so that the overhead valve engine could be used, here you have the opposite, plenty of space for the overhead motor and they put in a flathead.

Why would they put a flathead Go Devil in that Jeep? No better sense, I guess. But for 15K, yeah, the original or at least the correct engine would be necessary.

Other than the confusion over the engine, it looks pretty good.
    Some minor details:
The restorer didn’t put the 4-Wheel Drive “decal” on the tailgate.
There’s a non-standard bumper on the rear. It’s actually a bumper as opposed to the Rear Cross Member that is factory.
    The hand brake is missing.

Hard to tell from the pictures, but it looks like the good electric wiper motors as opposed to the junky chrome ones that don’t work. These look like marine wiper motors.
The horn button is the later, large button (post ’57) – no big deal.
The tub has the oval drain holes which I’ve not sen on any repro tub. Is it possible it’s an original tub?

Forgot to say if it has the correct engine, it’s probably worth a good $10k baring any other surprises.
