1951 Willys Jeep M38
This is a Korean War era Military Jeep.
It is fully titled, with a clean KS title, and currently on an antique plate.
The jeep is currently NOT running, and is a ‘project’.

Parts included:
Original Frame, springs, axles, steering gear.
Repro-body. Appears to be about 15-20 years old. In excellent condition, only light surface rust in a few spots. Has been painted rattle can OD green.
Original Dana 18 transfer case.
Besttop Soft top.
Chevy Vortec 4.3, with full wiring harness, gauge cluster, ecu out of an S10 truck.

Needs:
Motor and wiring installed.
A transmission (good candidate for a th350).
Some re-assembly.

The frame is in very good condition, no rust, and has about 6 layers of paint on it. The original OD green is still under all the other paint.
The body is in good condition, being a re-pro, and is in good condition. All gauges and data plates are still on the dash. I removed the old canvas body mount dampers, and have a set of daystar body mounts to go on the jeep. I removed the old barely running engine and transmission, and sold them, with the intent of swapping in the 4.3 vortec. I have sinced changed jobs, and don’t have nearly as much free-time to work on the jeep, unfortunately. I have all told, about $3200 invested in it. The jeep was running and driving, but the old motor needed a top-bottom rebuild. The transfer case and axles work well, the brakes work about as well as drums from the 50’s could.
The stock front and rear seats are still with the jeep, but with old vinyl covering not the military canvas. The rear bench is a home-brew job from the previous owner that isn’t very good.”
