“This is titled in Oregon as a 1949 CJ-3A Willys. It does have split windshield which I believe is from a 2A Williys. It has been under work for the last 4 years and is mostly finished. I have too many other projects and so I am going to sell it so someone else who can enjoy it more than I will be able to. The jeep has been taken down to the frame. It has a brand new rebuilt V6 engine. I have gone through the transmission but it does pop out of 2nd on occasion.

The transmission is the original 3 speed Spicer transmission. I also has a warn overdrive which works great. There are headers on the engine. The radiator has a new core and has been rebuilt. The brake drums have been changed from 9in. to 11in Jeep. The master cylinder has been rebuilt. The brakes do work but I think the wheel cylinders may need replacing as sometimes I need to pump the brakes a little to get full brake stopping power. The brake lines are new.

The steering has been converted to a Chevy tilt steering column and Saginaw steering box as shown in pictures. The running gear is in good condition. The gas tank has been flushed out and is in very good condition. There are new fuel lines from tank to motor. The frame has had POR 15 applied to it. The electrical on it is brand new and has all been gone through. The body for the most part is rough. There is a lot of rust cancer underneath that I have removed and replaced with new steel. There are still a few areas that might still have rust but they are minimal. I have also replaced some hat channels underneath. The paint hides a lot of this. There is no storage under passenger seat. This has been turned into the battery box.

The exterior also has some defects such as the driver’s side step which you will see in the pictures as well as passenger side fender edge and around the fuel opening. From a distance the body looks pretty good but when you get close it has some issues. I am not selling a show jeep. I am selling something you can use outdoors and have fun with without worrying about scrapes and scratches. The upholstery is brand new on all three seats. All gauges work.

The tires are brand new never used Cooper Discover ATR tires and the wheels have been powder coated. There are four new shocks. The engine runs great as well as all of the running gear on it. Please call or email with any questions or if you want more pictures. I am asking the very minimum I need to get out of this. This is a fun and usable jeep. Cash only, no trade..”
