This Jeep was at in person auction a couple weeks back. A friend of mine went, there was a $4,600 bid that they would not accept. They had $8,000 reserve on it.

This was also listed on Willys for sale. Now it says sold.I cannot confirm that.I did not know about the in person auction until after the fact when my friend told me.He actually was not aware that I have Jeeps. The auction date was Nov. 11 and the reserve that the owners placed on the jeep was $7,000.Not 8 that I originally posted. When I looked it up on Auctionzip there were no pics.Definitely a lot of sentimental value on this one.

    I bought it!
Probably paid more than some would (7000, the reserve for the estate.)
Good: Original owner…lots of history and original owners manual, title, etc…
Was farmed with and was the family’s only transportation for years.
Restored with new body 7 years ago, and most systems freshened. It was 17 degrees when I went to look at it. The Kids of the owner (retired and in their 60’s) didn’t know how to start it, but with a little love I fired it up and drove the frozen bias plies down the road.
Bad: Restored, then it sat unused in a damp, cold barn neglected…surface rust on some edges, icky gas…
    bird poop stained paint…
Plan: Restore correctly and putz at 40 mph around the lake in the summer.
Note: Also came with the original canvas half cab and bows!
    Pretty raggy, but neat!

    Thanks for your page!

    Mike,

Thanks for the update. I’ll bet they enjoyed seeing that old jeep run. Nice to hear they had some great history as well. I’m glad eWillys helped! Have fun with it!
