don’t know why, but the first photo has a “art” feel to it. A beauty to it that is haunting, where you can’t stop looking.
.Can’t place this, was there not a photo style that was popular for a while that used items being photographed this way?
I agree there is a classic feel to the photo.
I am confident you will find that the original photo has been heavily airbrushed to provide highlights. The factory artwork was often highly retouched.
