(06/17/2014) “I have a 1954 M38A1 Military Jeep for sale. It has 20,000 original miles on it. I have gone through everything on the Jeep. I have owned it since 1986 but I don’t get to use it much anymore so I decided to sell it instead of letting it sit, when someone else could be driving it and having a good time. Hot August Nights is just around the corner.

I painted it with the Military OD Green and stenciled it with Military markings (NOT DECALS) a few years ago. It has a Hurricane 4 cyl engine, standard 3 speed with high/low range with a 24 volt system. I had put a brand new 20,000 btu military heater (NOS), tires like new but not military. New upholstery, new brakes & master cylinders, wheel cylinders, U joints and seals all around and new windshield wiper motors. Transmission as good as new, does not slip out of gear. Transfer case works great in all gears. Great gas mileage and does not chimmy at any speed. Oil sender not working but is an easy fix. Military shovel under the hood, axe on the rear fender well. Just too much to list. If any parts are needed, they’re usually found on Ebay.

NOT MILITARY:
2 gun racks between the seats, double roll bar, but great to have. Tires are not military but at the time of my restoring this Jeep, I did not know where to find them. It has locking hubs so you don’t have to run the front differential all the time. Canvas top is not military issue.

If interested and have any questions please call or email me. Serious buyers only please. Will take a partial trade, looking for a 1997 or newer gas engine with automatic transmission, Dodge 2500 or 3500 or a Ford F250 or F350 4×4, crew cab or possibly extended cab, short bed pickup. No junk please.”
