I’ve always been under the impression that the Maverick Trim option was only available on the 2 wheel drive wagon, not the 4 wheel drive; even the factory sales brochures only show 2 wheel drive wagons, is this a fact? Inquiring minds want to know.

I had a one 1 piece windshield on my 1960 2 wheel drive wagon along with a 2 piece tailgate window back in 1969. Bought for $50.00 from a junkyard. The 1 piece windshields were available on the 2 wheel drive wagons at least two years before they were available on the 4 wheel drive wagons. Of course, a few odd balls came off the assembly line.

I was under the impression that all Mavericks had the one piece windshield, all were 2WD, and production began in 1958.

Of course, the wagon above has 4WD, so I don’t know what to make of it.

I guess it was an easy and usual mods to do since it was practically a bolt on adds for the 4×4

Thanks Dave, that’s what Thought, and I did convert my 2 wheel drive wagon to 4 wheel drive, At the age of 20, (seems so long ago and it was) Not knowing a dam thing about cars, I accepted a bet from a friend by the name of Moose who said I couldn’t do it. I did it and he never talked to me again. That was 46 years ago.
