I spent last night with Ann at the Moisture Festival, an annual four-week run of comedy and variety acts that is the largest in the world (four those four weeks anyway). My aunt suggested we go and, since it was Ann’s birthday (and I’m an admittedly poor present buyer), going to see some live performances seemed like fun AND made for a great birthday evening. Yes, she’s an April Fool :-), but I’m not fool to be with her!

There were comedy acts, singing, acrobatics, juggling, and just plain silliness. If you are in Seattle during the festival I highly recommend it.

Dave, was that a selfie, a selfie using a selfie stick, or did someone take that pic of you two? Just wondering, it’s a nice pic…I think it was a natural selfie if I was a betting man.

Dave just read your entire post. Spectacular! I especially love the time lapse photos of all the falls. Looks like a wonderful trip. The only bummer is that you got a hotel in Sandpoint. That’s where I live! In time, after you get to know my wife and I, AND you know that we are not deranged chainsaw murders (it won’t start), you’ll never need and invite to stay with us. I’ll leave the light on for you! (No relation to Tom Bodett, nor do I own any motel 6’s or any stock in such said company)

    Todd,

Thanks for the offer! We leave our chainsaws at home in case we make people nervous 🙂
I know of a guy in the Newport WA area that has an original 1956 DJ with an original sport top that I was hoping to photograph at some point. Maybe that ‘some point’ will be this summer. So we could be by as early as then.

I used to spend a week every summer in CDA. My grandparents on one side had a place on Hayden Lake and my great grandparents on the other side homesteaded Fighting Creek (the farm and store just south of CDA on US95). So, the panhandle always feels like home to me.
