UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $2700.

Could use some new seats!

“Selling my 1946 Willys CJ2A. Definitely not the prettiest cj you’ve seen, but she’s a beast! Runs and drives. 4 cylinder, flat head Motor has been rebuilt at some point, but i’m not able to verify how long ago. Fresh oil and coolant.
Converted to 12 volts. Rear offset dana 44. Also has rear seat included
New battery. I’ll be replacing the Regulator and Ignition tomorrow. I’ll also be rebuilding the carb as well, because it has a hard time idling.
I also have 4 extra original CJ2 wheels (15×6), as well as 2 spare tire mounts. I will also include a tow bar.
Transmission shifts good. No grinding or popping out. 4×4 works.
Obviously, this jeep needs some body work, as you can see in the pics. Some cancer spots, and places where bondo is chipping off from an old restoration. But this jeep is VERY restorable, and will be worth plenty of money after body work and some tlc.
Title in hand. have the license plate for it as well.
$2700 or best REASONABLE OFFER. no trades. Cash speaks.
Call or text the number in the reply section.”

I don’t see a column shift but it could have been converted. It does have caged nuts for the firewall horn so at most it’s a 40,xxx jeep. Has the tool indents though that suggests early 20,xxx. Wrong oil bath air cleaner for a vec. Appears to have lots of rust problems. I’d be a little leary about chipping bondo from an “oldet restoration”. Rear cross member has been replaced and is missing rear bow pocket. Bummer on recessed tail lights. Needs to be cheaper to bring it back. What do you think toddy

Amongst all the other issues the front frame rails have welded patch plates. It seems a pretty high price for the overall condition.

Yes chrisy, lots of previous body work. More rot and rust rearing it’s ugly head. Missing a lot of hardware on windshield frame. Scared about the engine compartment. Firewall has been cut, and in a place that’s tough to fix. His photo of extra wheels look correct, but they should be 16×4.5. I think he’s being pretty honest in his description. This will take a lot of work, money and parts to bring it back to stock…
