Nice little jeep, but what’s lurking under that carpet… hey brother, on that application that we need to get people to fill out, to tell if they can responsibly own a jeep, we need a check box saying “will not put carpet in jeep floorboards”. Remember the ’53 we picked up…

Ahhhhhhhh, carpet in a cj. That 53 would have been perfect if it wasn’t for the carpets . If you check yes to carpets, then I’m sorry your application has been rejected to own a jeep. This jeep doesn’t look too bad (providing there’s full metal under those carpets). Look at those fenders… :-*

My daily driver is an all original CJ-7. No modifications. I refuse to put down carpet. My floor is covered with Herculiner. Did this three or four years ago and it’s holding up great. I figured if I ever wanted to show I could lay down OEM carpets and then pull up when done. No one would be the wiser that the floor was covered in bed liner. I learned from my first brand new CJ-7 that carpets are killers for jeeps.

I ended up buying this jeep for 1000 bucks. There was a little rust under the carpets. Other than that it’s perfect.
