UPDATE: Was $3600. **SOLD**

The windshield is funky.

“In July 2013 I purchased this jeep as a restoration project for my husband. He had begun the basics. The awesome thing is it ran great & we had taken it, playing in the desert, numerous times. He was diagnosed with cancer Jan. 2014 & crossed over 55 days later. Although I hate to part with it… It deserves more than just sitting in a garage.”

Cool jeep, but very sad story. I wonder how many VEC features are there… can’t see driver’s side for possible tool indents. Appears to have floor shift vs column shift. Price seems fair.

Isn’t this on your side of town, Colin?!

Just gave it some thought that it’s probably a spark arrestor given that part of the country where it’s located.

Well guys I just bought this Jeep. Spotted it here (thanks eWillys!) because my own craigslist search missed it; seller didn’t put the year in her ad. The pics are a couple years old, that big tailpipe and the wacky back seat aren’t there any more. It had been sitting but a new battery and a gallon of fresh gas and it fired right up.
The windshield looks odd because it has been replaced with a fixed plexiglas panel. Electricals converted to 12v, ammeter missing for some reason, and the spare is on a very beefy homebrew swing-away carrier. Otherwise it seems mostly original VEC… yes it has the tool brackets on the left side.

    BR304,
CONGRATS! Thanks for the update and specifically the answer about the tool indents. Where out here do you live? Any chance you’re in the East Valley? I’d love to see your new acquisition. Dave can give you my email address if you want to contact me directly… or go to AHMTA.com, an Arizona chapter of the MVPA.
    Plus, I have a spare ammeter 🙂

Now that I have done a little more research I realize I was misinterpreting the “tool indents” feature. My Jeep has the brackets on the left side – but I guess they’re really top bow holders? But NOT the indent under the driver’s door. I found a site that says this was dropped after #29500, this one is #31000.

I’m sure owning this will be a continuous “educational experience”. I have wanted another old Jeep since I got rid of my ’42 GPW back in the 70’s. This is pretty close, but in better shape overall. Joe – I’ll try to tag up in the other venue.

    BTW, I’m in NW Phoenix.
