“1949 is the year of the fewest CJ2A flat fender jeeps. This Willys Jeeps appears to be the first of the DJ (Dispatch Jeep) ever made…it has a rear fuel tank instead of under the seat…it also has easy entry/exit side panel…my guess is the dispatches were stored under the seat & the side panels were removed because couriers would have to get in & out a lot…I put bucket high back seats because comfort was important because I use this old girl every day it doesn’t rain…

I was in the SeaBees VietNam 64-66 so I decked this jeep out as a U S Navy jeep…I had it bored & crank turned plus a solex carb for more power…it runs nice & is a real head turner…when I go to the VA all the other old timers gather round & remember good times in a Jeep…I’m only selling because I’m about done with my 1956 CJ6/M-170 which is similar to the one I built out of parts from blown-up jeeps on ChuLai Beach in 1965…I love this old jeep but I’ve had fun with it …

I’ve taken it on camping trips & to dirt track races… I’d like to see someone else get joy out of it & I could use the money to finish out the 56… NBG-1 stands for Naval Beach Group One & ACB-1 stands for Amphibious Construction Battalion One… Insurance is only $11–/month AmericanCollectors.com & a lifetime Antique License is around $20–…it has a very nice tow bar & tows like a dream… It has a small rear main seal oil leak but I haven’t fixed it since this model doesn’t have a oil filter it’s good to put fresh oil in from time to time…text or call for more infoation”

The vin tag reads 26313. That would be a ’46 cj2a. Tub looks like a dispatcher. Dash is modded. Lots of red flags, lots of money…

  2. Minnesota Chris

lots of different parts. That must be the seller’s I don’t want to sell price.

Militarized frankenjeep… just for fun… not to be taken too seriously… but at a serious price: hmmm!?
