The seller seems to be listed in the Klamath, Oregon, area, but is listing the jeep in California (probably due to the price). Looks like a nice rig. The jeep looks familiar, but I couldn’t find it in my archives.

“Registered as a 1950 Ford but is actually an early 1940’s. It has been painstakingly rebuilt from the body up by owner. Updated axles, transmission and engine. Too many upgrades to list but will answer any questions when you call.

Asking $40,000 since owner currently has $50,000 invested. Less than 1,000 miles since completion of rebuild.

Please contact me if you have any questions or would like any further information.”

I love a good metallic paint job, and this is a nice color, but $40K for a body with diamondplate???

While this tub has a tool indent on the right side like an M38 tub it’s missing the cowl battery box, the large fuel filler on the left side, the removable instrument panel and the windshield vent is incorrect for an M38 body. I’d guess this is a repro body built with an assortment of civilian and military features and while very nice looking I don’t feel it’s worth $40,000.
