Dave I was told by the jeep dealer employee’s in Ellensburg you could special order either a cj3a or a cj3b until 1964. maybe (special order?)

    Roy,

Do you think they confused the CJ-3A with the DJ? I’ve never heard of any CJ-3As after 1953, but they certainly manufactured enough parts to build a 3A. Very interesting.

Dave The only thing I know is for sure is (I know nothing!) Is a DJ a postal jeep? A flat fender would mean a flat head motor? Several of the employees at Kellaher motors (ford mercury and jeep dealer) started the Ellensburg Hill Toppers ( I still have my plaques 1964). Paul Eaton was my main source for information. He owned a ford jeep that said Ford on the rear. And a Cj3B with a 289 V-8. Can you believe he let me run the Ford in the Yakima ridgerunner mud race!! wow!! And it was clean stock jeep!! Maybe some the guys on CJ-3A page know if this was possiable. All I know is what I was told. AND I HATE WINDOWS 8.1 AND THIS DAM LAPTOP!!!! lol Connie’s 65 CJ-5 even has orignal ign. To bad the hat channels are junk.

    Roy,

A DJ-3A was a 2WD jeep intended as an inexpensive errand jeep for businesses. They utilized flatheads. Some were used as postal jeeps. The DJ-5s tended to be used much more heavily as postal jeeps.

Sorry to hear about your Windows 8.1. I used to run both systems, but gave up Windows a few years ago.
