Here’s a nice looking 2A. The seller listed this elsewhere and was unsatisfied with the response. It sounds like he got a lot of people who just wanted to ride in it.

“Frame off restoration by owner with many new parts. NOS where possible. 6/8 volt. Civilian. Was a farm jeep so there are some dents in the bed. 4×4. High/Low gear box. 3 speed transmission. No PTO. 429xx miles on the odometer, but I cannot say it has never been replaced since I do not know that for sure.

Listing here on Craigslist for a more target audience. Had it listed on another site that had too many inquiries in too large an area for me to sort though and reply to.

If you were one of the many who inquired earlier please include the site you found it on so I know you are serious. Others, please do your homework on CJ2s so you know the basics about them. Asking questions where the answer is obvious is a sure tell sign you are not serious.

I don’t have time or the desire for showing just for the fun of it so make sure include enough info so I can determine how serious you are.”

    I’m a sucker for a blue Jeep. That’s a nice one.
I’ve a got a question for you folks that know a lot more about CJ2s than me; are the three screws around the keyed ignition switch holding up a keyed coil or is there a special switch with three screws that I’m unaware of?

  2. Minnesota Chris

Hi Neil, the three screws hold up a bracket and the keyed coil fits inside. It’s fastened in the bracket similar to the coils mounted on the block. A lot of the time these are missing.

Thanks Chris! Something like that was my suspicion.
I’m just OCD enough to obsess over three empty holes in my dash without knowing for sure.

Any chance that any of you guys tried contacting this seller? I’ve emailed him 4 times now with no response. This looks like a decent 2A and I have people that want decent 2As.

I know the seller wants to determine how serious one is through their emails. The seller is probably weeding out anything that isn’t sounding promising. It is a nice 2a.
