“1947 Willys CJ2a for sale.. This is a fully functioning Jeep that starts, runs, stops and drives. It is in very original condition and has held up well over the years… It has a clear Colorado Title in my name and the VIN on the title matches the data tags present on the Jeep. It is currently registered , licensed , and tagged in my name

The L134 “Go Devil” engine starts and runs well.. It has a new carb on it in the last year and it retains it’s original 6 volt electrical system. The headlights, horn, windshield wipers , and original gauges all seem to work well. The front axles have manually locking hubs and the transmission and transfer case work good as they should..

The paint on the Jeep is currently blue but it has been painted many different colors in its long life.. There are traces of original yellow then red then blue. The body is solid but being a car guy I would classify it as fair in condition. The Jeep can be driven and enjoyed as is or it is also a decent candidate for a frame off restoration or anything in the middle. I would say the body is definitely save able as it is in the expected condition of an almost 70 year old Jeep.. I was told it spent most of its life in the Conifer area.. I think it looks cool in its current state of patina but that is very subjective. The hood, tailgate and windshield frame are all original Willys stamped.

Extra parts include a grille, tailgate, front bumper tow bar, fuel tank and CJ2a drivers seat frame. The seats currently installed in the Jeep are in very good condition but came from a 1951 M38 so the frames are a little different.. They look good and function fine..

I am only selling the CJ2a because I bought a 43 Willys MB and want to focus on that..I am not interested in trades and don’t need help selling.. I will delete the post as soon as it sells so if it is up it is available.. 2750.00 cash only .. Please keep in mind although it is a functioning Jeep, I would not plan on driving it home..these vehicles almost always need some tinkering in unrestored condition and should be viewed as a hobby instead of transportation.. Please be respectful and no low offers..I will not be swayed by that.. Best reached by phone or text..”

To me, it’s always a good sign when the cowl drain holes are still present. Bubba usually patches over them.

I agree with Don. There are good signs here: it looks promising in general.
…and just like that: IT’S SOLD! Hope she found a good home… Don?
