This is another big milestone in this project. The proofs have arrived. I can already see some changes that need to be made. I’m hoping for a late November publish date, but we’ll see.

I know the long hours and hours and hours of both dedication and discipline it took for you to reach this milestone, I couldn’t be more proud of you Babe. You ROCK!!!

Thank you for giving me a proof copy to, hopefully, not add too many red marks you have spent so much time and effort on. I am aware your interest began almost 20 years ago and now you have an interesting book to show for your dedication. I know it is interesting as there was a “rough” copy to peak my interest just as it did you. Congratulations! Love you and am very proud of your accomplishment.

    James,

Denver, Leadville, and Pueblo all contribute history to the book, so you’ll find lots of familiar terrain within the pages. I may even be able to hand deliver a copy to you, since I think there’s a good chance I could be invited to a Mining History Association event (they are based in Colorado). They were interested in a paper on my ancestors, but I wrote a book instead.
