UPDATE: Still Available.

(11/22/2015) Runs.

“Rare 1963 FC Jeep Cab Over with 6 cylinder Flat Head Hurricane. Pennsylvania Barn Find. Yes, it runs. All original parts! Used on family farms in Dorrance Township, PA and Hollenback Township, PA for last 20+ years. Used as a sawmill truck near Red Rock, Pa before that. Original paint is blue. It appears that sawmill operator painted it red. Recent owner (farm family), brush painted it white.”

This looks to have four combat rims. Good price if that’s the case.

Everything works great, just could use the brakes bled.

This December 1955 Willys News article described the purchase of forty CJ-5s by the Circus Ice Cream Company of Houston, Texas. Do those hub caps look unusual?

Museum of the American G.I.

Seth told me about the Museum of the American G.I. The museum is located in College Station, Texas, and has multiple jeeps. Unfortunately, I could only find one jeep. We didn’t get a chance to reach College Station this spring, but I’m sure we will be back soon. My niece just won a Reigning scholarship at SMU. I guess she’s coming down to Texas to teach them how to ride a horse :-). Seriously, she’s one of the top riders in the country and a great person too match. Texas is lucky to get her!
