Looks good for the price.
“I am selling my 1947 Willys CJ-2A.
No longer has its original 4 cylinder engine, but has been updated to a V6 for increased top speed, horsepower, and reliability.
Has adjustable/sliding front seats, and also has a CJ-3a windshield (the added leg room and head room make this much more enjoyable to drive as I am 6’4”).
Has been garaged kept. 3 speed manual transmission. Over Drive. 4 wheel drive. New radiator. Extra Rear seat is a very nice adition.
Turns heads everywhere I go.
Comes with black bikini top, Full Soft Top and Door (~$700 value itself), front tow bar and tow lights.
Keep in mind, this vehicle is nearly 70 years old, so it does have some minor cosmetic bumps and bruises, I like to think of them as added “character.” I’m Getting married, so this baby unfortunately has to go.
Serious inquires only, please email me.”
Has a repop tub to go with the repop V6… or is an M38 and the windshield is correct?
The M-38 windshield is probably a reproduction that came with the tub. That was the style of windshield provided with that body kit.
I just can’t see hinges at the lower grill, and in the engine bay shot the hood appears to hinge at the cowl… I generally have a tough time digesting Jeep salads, lol…
If the seller retained the original grille, then there would be no need for the hinges as the grille would mount underneath both edges of the grille to the frame. If a replacement grille was mounted, the seller likely still mounted the grille to the same location without using hinges (if holes for the hinges existed in the grille). This would have been much easier than drilling holes in the frame, threading the holes, and then attaching a hinge. I don’t know if these early M-38 repro grilles came with hinge holes or CJ-2A/3A holes in the bottom of the grille or both.
