    Civil Defense, maybe?
Definitely interesting… side fuel fill doesn’t look original or I’d suspect very early CJ-2A.

Very interesting vehicle, I am surprised they held on to it for so long, not many left in municipal possession. I think the side fuel inlet is to facilitate the bench seat.

Has combat wheels. More than likely, a WWII GPW that some one added the CJ fuel filler housing. Drop down fuel tank well says it’s WWII also.

The modifications appear to have been done quite well, I think I would touch up the paint and keep it like it is. I did notice A USAF stencil on the olive drab, under the hood. I wonder if this may have been an airport crash vehicle .

I’m late to the party but this jeep reminds me of the Keystone Kops paddy wagon! I can see it noe 5 guys in the front and 5 guys in the rear pushing and pulling the truck trying to clear the railroad tracks while the locomotive in barreling down upon them!! What will happen? Was there a crash? Tune in next week, same time and same channel to find out what really happens!
