Well I see the peanut gallery is in full force again.

Anyways I see 22 pictures of almost flawless restoration great bang for your buck here for the “serious” jeep collector. Maybe if He put a set of bucket seats out of a 1980s Mustang in it that would please you guys more. And hey Bob if that’s your real name why don’t you post up some of the high-quality stuff you got would love to see it.

You know the guy that runs the site is top shelf in my book and I’m sure it irritates the hell out of him when trolls come on here and I have nothing positive to say.

Good response, Glenn! While high price tags almost invite criticism (let’s see what we can find wrong), I’ve always thought that to be self-defeating. I’ll want strong resell prices one day if I ever need/want to sell one of my jeeps, especially if I ever finish a restoration ;-).

On the other end of the spectrum, I’m glad to see low/affordable prices for “projects” that need work… and finding faults can help work the price down. But this wagon is a classic beauty in my opinion. Good for him/her if they get their asking price.

    Hi Glenn. Lew here.
Life would indeed be better if the only things ever said were positive. But that isnt reality. Neither are some of the prices asked for some of the vehicles that happen to be a passion for the people on this website. The comments are not meant for the person selling or we, or at least I, would email the seller. However, real world discussion, even by a bunch of old and cynical guys is a healthy thing and keeps prices grounded, at least for us. If you look thru this website you will see many more positive comments than negative from people here. I dont begrudge people sharing their opinions here, even on my stuff. It is mine to choose whether I learn from those comments, or disregard them. I would doubt any were meant as a personal attack.

Looks nice a very nice restored jeep but not factory correct if that is what you are looking for in this price range. It has a new DMW serial number assigned to it so it was probably put together from various donor vehicles.

Regarding comments positive or negative…. I tasteful honesty trumps political correctness. My 2 cents.

This little wagon looks really good to me. I am just finishing a Willys project that has cost me more than the asking price of this vehicle in parts. Sure, I overpaid, and overbuilt. Some of mine is not exactly original either, but the changes were made for either economy or function as I saw fit. For what this is, I would consider this one as a fair price. This seller has a right to try to recover at least some of the expense of this build. Some of the posters here should be ashamed for their mean-spirited comments. Shame on you. Please post pics and descriptions of your prjects that are superior to this one. Sorry, rant over, love the site Dave, but some folks need to remember their manners.

  6. Bob

While not original and perfect to a T, I think it looks pretty nice. Good color combo, nice touches on the upholstery. I, however, am a cheap SOB and prefer to build my jeeps as much as possible. That way I can spread the pain out $1,000 at a time!

  7. Roger

I would be interested in knowing what you all think needs to be done to get this wagon closer to original and perfect to a T. I’m new to the hobby and would value your input.

  8. Ted

Im with Niels ,Michael ,Bob,and especially Glenn on this one. Nice looking Wagon for the price. Anyone building or restoring a Wagon like this would be hard pressed to do it for the asking price of $24000 Im sure the guys over at Willys America would agree on this when they put a price on one they have done. Don’t let the nay-Sayers bring you down ,overseas a wagon like this one would bring even more Id bet. And while were on the subject of Nay-Sayers and scrutinize rs If someone has a perfect CJ3B ,whether it be barn fresh or restored could you please post a few pics of it for all of us to see . As far as I can tell by looking at the comments on 3Bs there are none out there nor will there ever be one !!! Rant over not sorry !!! As always you rock Dave ,Thanks for all your hard work!!!

Looks pretty decent to me. Not a Wagon expert but it looks fairly correct. Door panels different but otherwise pretty correct I would think. Bump up another $10,000 for a Willys America restoration and that doesn’t include the price of the vehicle. That being said, these vehicles do have a limit on their value. Just cause you dump $30,000 into an old Jeep that doesn’t make it a $30,000 vehicle. Most of us Willys addicts restore for the love of the truck and can’t go into it expecting to get their money and time spent back on their investment. Just the cold hard facts….
