UPDATE: Still Available.

(09/17/2015) This appears to be a lefty. It might be a 1948 or at the very leasts a ’48 body.

The lefties were done in 1948, about 1800 serial numbers before they were discontinued. Serial number is the only way to tell properly.

M38 top bows? I’m not all that up on military bits. If I had a lefty I’d make it a point to fill those brackets with civilian bows 🙂

Yes … per Colin — CJ-2As built between March 3, 1948 and April 14, 1948, (serial numbers between 176061 and 185769) had the spare tire located on the left side of the body and the top bow holders on the right side. Willys did this to accommodate some state laws (Willys Tech bulletin 48-27, dated May 25, 1948).
