“This original flat head 4 cylinder 1949 Willys Jeepster is as unmolested as you’ll find. It runs and drives and has a good drivetrain, but is not a driver. It needs a full restoration. Both the front suspension and rear axle has been rebuilt. The driveshaft and the brakes (including new drums) are all rebuilt. There are various new parts, which have been installed so this can be started and driven, and any work completed has been done properly. The radiator has been rodded out, new water pump, hoses (oil and water), plugs, distributer, wires, rebuilt carb, new steering wheel, etc….. The wiring is shot, and is only wired to start and has brake lights. However, a new OE style harness is included.

This has no body rust and the frame is not rotted. There is some rust on the floor pans, however they are there and mostly solid, unlike most unrestored jeepsters.

The seat frames are all good, and the springs are repairable/restorable.

This is a beautiful candidate for a concourse restoration and is one of few that hasn’t been chopped up and made into a hot rod. These Jeepsters were only produced from 1948-1950, with leftover inventory sold as 1951s. There were only 19,000 Willys Jeepsters ever produced and these are very hard to come by. These bring around $40,000 when restored correctly. The beauty of the Jeepster is that Willys used many jeep and Wagon/Pickup parts, so these things are easy to restore if you find a good candidate. This is a great candidate for a concourse (as new) restoration and is a very complete vehicle.

The price is firm and I don’t need help selling it. Serious inquiries only. This has never been wrecked and has a clear Arizona title. It is currently registered. ”

I had met you and came to see this vehicke, but was too late and missed buying. I found another, in worse condition, and now need help with steering. Is there a local shop you can refer me? Steering is very tight, and adjustment badly neded. Thank you,

    Hi Dick,

The seller of the jeepster above may or may not read eWillys, so I don’t know if he can help. However, one shop I suggest you check out in the Phoenix area is Drew at the Jeep Farm. http://www.thejeepfarm.com. Drew has restored and modified a variety of jeeps.
