1947? Lefty? CJ-2A Northwestern Vermont $6500

UPDATE: Price dropped to $6500. Mike noticed it’s got the bow holders on the passenger side. The body must be a left, perhaps the whole jeep.

The drain holes have been filled, but looks solid.

“1947 CJ 2A in good condition. Tires, seats and seatbelts all in good shape, also has a nice soft top. Please contact me with questions or to request to chat by phone about this great old jeep! T”

It certainly does. So, at the very least, the body must be a ’48. Good catch.

It’s a good and common question:

Lots of Lefty questions and research here — http://www.thecj2apage.com/forums/calling-all-leftys_topic16021_page1.html

For a short period of time, March, 3rd through April,14th of 1948, the Willys Overland factory switched the normal location of the spare tire mount to the driver-side which in turn necessitated the bow pockets be moved to the passenger-side.

The serial number range was serial # range of 176,061 through 185,769 … though there were some exceptions.
