I wonder why gov. liquidations is branching out to private vehicles, possibly gov. surplus items are becoming less available.

I looked into this the other day and figured out this is anything but a government surplus auction. This company is one that sales both government surplus and privately owned goods. The reserve is probably set way too high on this so the seller can cover the commission of the auction house. Wah wah waaahhh…..

Funny comment about the rain, my thoughts too. Not the best way to sell something.

Gov Liquidation (Liquidity Services, Inc) branched out to privately owned items because they lost the government contract to dispose of surplus rolling stock. Govplanet (IronPlanet, Inc) now auctions the military surplus rolling stock so govliquidation has to have a new revenue stream. Gov Liquidation also started up these ridiculously high reserves, presumably also to increase revenue. From my perspective it’s had the opposite effect. I won’t bid at GL anymore since everything now sells for more than retail from surplus dealers.
