“1963 Jeep CJ5
Southwest jeep no rust
completely restored from the ground up.
Entire jeep taken apart, sand blasted, rebuilt and reassembled.
Re manufactured engine by established reputable machine shop.
all new accessories form clutch to radiator.
New wiring harness, gas tank, brakes, shocks, and exhaust.
Engine, tires and battery have factory warranty.
I have been restoring jeeps for over forty years.
this is the 69th jeep that i have completed.
My customers appreciate my experience and attention to detail.
this jeep is stock with the exception of seat belts and directional lights.
comes with a new complete vinyl top with doors and roll bar (not shown in pictures).”

    Nice CJ,
    should the tail gate be blank due to Kaiser buying Willys and dropping the name Willys in 1963. 62 had the name on the tailgate but I thought 1963 was blank

    Tailgates were official descripted of Willys in May of 1963. So, it’s possible this was manufactured before that month.

    Alternatively, it could be that this was a 1962 CJ-5 that was sold in 1963. We’d need the serial number to know for sure.

    Most likely, this is a reproduction tailgate, because it lacks notches along the top of the tailgate.
