The aircraft is a stylized representation of the B-17 (at the time as recognizable to the public as the jeep), which was a prototype in 1936 and saw first action in 1942. Long before first action the waist gunners position changed from a teardrop bubble to a rectangular one. The fuel truck nearby is of late thirties vintage rather than forties. My guess is 1940 +/- 1 year.

The stylized representation of an aircraft is likely the B17, prototyped in 1936 and first action seen in 1942. Well before the first action the waist gunners bubble had changed from a teardrop shaped bubble like this one to a rectangular bubble. The B17 was at the time as recognizable and well known to the US public as the Jeep. The fuel truck nearby is representative of late 1930s vintage rather than early 1940s. Using this highly scientific carbon-dating process my guess is 1940 +/- 1 year.

And because my computer is about as old and slow, I thought my comment had been lost. So not only do you get two guesses, but three entries. So far its unanimous.
