I’m ready to release a small number of books … 12 to be exact. These first books are signed copies and will be $30 (with free shipping). Around the end of July I will be making the book available to everyone, with signed copies available from me or unsigned copies through Amazon. You can learn more about the book at my new author’s site: http://www.deilers.com/.

Though I’ve done my best to squash all the grammatical errors, I’m sure I’ve missed a few. So, as a part of this first round of books I’ll be offering a bounty of $5 per error if anyone wants to take me up on it (up to a max of $100 or 20 errors — not person but total). When you order the book I’ll explain how to send the errors you find to me. I’m only making this offer to the twelve eWillys readers who purchase this version.

If you want a book, drop me an email (d@ewillys.com) that includes your mailing address. I’ll explain how to pay (I’ll take check or paypal).

I got to read the earlier draft – I found it to be an excellent book. I had just read Mark Twain’s “Roughing It” a month or so earlier, which made it doubly interesting seeing some of the same stories that Twain presented as a naive miner from the corporate side.

(Dave woulda gone broke on the typos for that one, though!)

Its a real winner. I will begin reading MY third version soon as I know there have been many changes. Congratulations on finishing this huge project. There were many many hours of research, organizing the events in a cohesive order, typing all those words so we all understand, deciphering photos and all else that goes with writing a book. Also I want to praise my sister, Marilyn Perry, who was invaluable in editing all those words. You, however, took her suggestions with grace and I never heard her complain about your attitude, and vise versa. It is a good working pair.

    Marty: Sounds like a deal.
Mom: Not like you partial or anything .. yes, Aunt Marilyn has been a great editor!
Gordon: Yep .. I knew there was work left!
